Dale Cook

Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Dale Cook has been a national leader in ophthalmic sales for over 25 years. He was the National Sales Manager for a new intraocular lens (IOL) company, hiring 30 sales representatives and 4 regional managers. This company was later acquired as the IOL division of Alcon. Dale then started his own manufacturer representative company and introduced a new UV intraocular lens to ophthalmology. His company, R. Dale Cook, Inc., had 10 salespeople and accounted for $10 million in sales of the UV IOL. R. Dale Cook, Inc. has represented several companies including Mentor, Ciba Vision, Katena, and Oculus. Dale’s rapport with ophthalmologists enabled him to successfully introduce multiple new company products that have had a dramatic impact on company revenue.

Dale has mentored hundreds of ophthalmologists in surgery, advising the uses and techniques of diamond knives, intraocular lenses, phacoemulsification and lasers. Dale’s comprehensive knowledge of office patient flow, examination, testing and medical business practices led to him joining ifa united i-tech in July 2009. Dale hired and manages a nationwide salesforce for ifa, the world’s largest ophthalmic EMR company. Dale’s responsibilities as Executive Vice President include managing sales and product development. He is also initiating the development and integration of ifa’s Practice Management software.

Dale graduated from West Virginia University with a BS in Business and completed his MBA at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Dale has homes in Fort Lauderdale, FL (ifa’s home office location), and Charlotte, NC. He is an avid skier and biker.
